Welcome to, hopefully, the first of many updates that I'll be posting here on the Atmosphere woooo~

I'm really excited to be doing this because I think it'll be a little bit easier for me to post things here than trying to do so through Kofi and then crossposting to bsky since it's integrated. But, as with most things, we'll see as I try and post here more often!

Calico Cocoa Update

(omg a carousel of images? so fun)

Upcoming Events. Animethon from August 7 through August 9 at the Edmonton Convention Centre. Ghibli Summer Market from August 15 through August 16 at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. Pin and Patch Show on September 19 at The Parkdale Hall. An illustration of Callie leans on her suitcase and nervously reflects “All within a month and a bit of each other...? Wowie~”
What’s new. I’m still working on some things, but they most likely will not be up until after I’m back from Animethon in August. Stay tuned! Photographs of some of Calico Cocoa’s recent products are pictured, including riso printed envelopes, a foldable reusable grocery bag, a fluffy patch of a duck wearing a hat, a liquid glitter enamel pin and a washi sticker sheet of parrots. Beside the photographs is a chibi of Callie motioning towards the product photos excitedly.
Find me in store at Paper Marché in Kitchener and Artisan MRKT in Toronto. Two maps are shown on screen showing the locations of both stores.

I'm currently scheduled to be at three shows for the next upcoming months, but that can always change since I have also applied to a couple of other shows including MCX in Mississauga and Scriptus in Toronto. Both of these are one day shows but I actually really doing these sorts of things!

You can view the full list of shows and who I'll be tabling with here in my Upcoming Shows tab.

It will be my first time doing Scriptus, so I'm not entirely sure what to expect or when to expect the acceptance notices, but you'll see that go up here whenever I hear back from them. Pretty much the same deal with MCX but I'm more likely to hear from them at the end of August or early September!

If you're unable to come out to any of the shows I'll be at but still want to purchase my things, you can always visit my Etsy! Or, if you're more of an in-person sort of buyer, you can visit one of the two stores I'm currently stocked at:

And to round this all up, I'm also working on some other projects!

Personal Projects

I vaguely mentioned it in a reel I did for Instagram that I posted in my previous blog/update/welcome post here but I'm a part of a group crowdfunding project for a deck of playing cards!

There's not really much to show at the moment because my friends and I are still working on the drafts and the templates and all of that fun stuff, but we're hoping to have a Kickstarter up before the end of the year, but we'll see where we are by the time the snow hits the ground. It's kind of hard trying to coordinate a bunch of artists to all have something done on time, especially when everybody else is busy with either their full-time jobs, their family, or a mixture of both 🥲

Outside of that, I'm also trying to work on a comic for April Fool's. It most likely would only be one chapter, but I would be playing on some of the tropes that happen in isekai's a lot — specifically the romance ones because, quite frankly, I live in that tag. Still undecided if I want full colour or just B/W shading but it's also an excuse for me to figure out how typesetting works haha.

Anyways, this is where I'm going to end it for now! Thanks for reading this and hope you have a lovely rest of your summer!

Stay hydrated and don't forget your sunscreen ☀️
